Minera is just stunning–she sings them out of that underworld, makes them/their reality, appear. I was so touched, so moved–and also to read that the winners of the competition she had won were usually men–and there she is, wow, such immediacy and presence, that song coming through the intercom! Like something out of Cocteau or Felllini or something . . .. This is one of the most encouraging things I’ve seen in a long time (despite the eventuality of the mine closing and the workers losing their jobs.) Thanks again for posting it.
