Hi Fred,

Only when the Poetry Foundation publicly apologizes for trying to incarcerate the young and peacefully civil disobedient poets who expressed their views at the PF five years ago, doing so in the best and most venerable traditions of the avant-garde.

We’re not done pressing the issue of the PF’s Trump-like behavior in that shameful incident, you can be sure of it. In fact, we might have some surprises coming.

Say hi to Don Share and the big-moneyed peeps on your board. No doubt some of them might even know Don (the other one)?

You’re welcome, Fred.

Thanks for helping to make the Poetry Foundation a place for all the poetry news that is fit to print.

Increasing numbers of people are coming to see what an ideologically capacious and impressive outfit the PF truly is.

Run by really self-secure and open folk, confident enough to stand up to critique and satire, without cringingly obvious airbrushing (or is that blacklisting).

Bravo to everyone on the salaried team.

I mean, in follow up: Don’t get me wrong…

Because we really are having a pleasant laugh here about you all.

And growing numbers of others are, too.

You’re welcome, Fred.

Mike Boughn and I would consider doing a joint reading at the Poetry Foundation sometime.

We hear you folks pay pretty well.

Any chance?

Thank you.

You’re welcome, Fred.

But remember, the Poetry Foundation MUST unambiguously apologize publicly, first, for its unethical behavior in this, from five years back: http://www.salon.com/2011/11/13/its_time_to_occupy_poetry/

Once the PF does that, Mike and I will come and read– and for free, should you be short on cash.

We will even write the apology for you, if you wish. That might make it easier.

Don’t pass up this wonderful opportunity.

Thank you, Fred.
